Who We AreThe name for High Tower Ministries comes from 2 Samuel 22:3 and is one of the names of the Lord. In second Samuel he is referred to as a High Tower, a safe place of refuge. When we examined our calling and the people groups we were most burdened for we realized this name of the Lord became very fitting for the work of God’s ministry. High Tower Ministries is called to establish a safe place for the most vulnerable in Cambodia; the widows, and orphans. High Tower Ministries began with the mission work started by Mark and Rhonda Benz of Carthage, Missouri. God used the process of international adoption to open their eyes to how the Cambodian people live and the hardships they endure every day. From this introduction of two orphan children into their family the burning desire towards mission work continues. What We BelieveWe Believe…in The Bible. We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and is, as originally given, inerrant, infallible and the final authority in all matters. PERIOD (II Timothy 3:16) …in the TrinityWe believe in the Eternal Godhead as He reveals Himself, three in one, and one in three, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14) …in One Way of SalvationWe believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who was born of a virgin, all God and all man who died for our sin was buried and arose from the dead on the third day. (Luke 1:26-35, John 1:14-18, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6) …in Spiritual GiftsWe believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the primary manifestation being the fruit of the Spirit in the life of the believer. We do believe that the Holy Spirit can and does manifest supernatural gifts through his people as it will bring glory to the Father. (Acts 2:1-4, Galatians 5:22-25, I Corinthians 12:1-12) Doing the Work of the MinistryHigh Tower Ministries is a nondenominational Christian ministry outreach which at this time is focused on Cambodia. We are a Christ-centered, caring ministry seeking to make disciples. High Tower Ministries is based upon three foundational beliefs:
We are Christ-centered.
High Tower Ministries acknowledges that only by the gospel of Christ one may be saved. We are committed to the truth of the Gospel and building Christian identity within people while being sensitive to Cambodian culture and its unique role in God's plan. We care for those most vulnerable.
High Tower Ministries interprets our calling to care for those most vulnerable to mean orphans, elderly, and those terminally ill. We strive to demonstrate the love of Jesus through the provision of food, clothing, and housing and through prayer, support, and encouragement. We seek to make disciples.
As instructed in the Great Commission High Tower Ministries is committed to making disciples. A practical extension of this is our commitment to literacy of those we minister to. It is through literacy that new disciples can read the Word of God independently.
